Using a person-centered, tailored approach, we go above and beyond to bring smiles and positive change to the lives of our clients.
As a Registered Music Therapist, Laura is passionate about connection and individuality. Her approach is firmly rooted in professionalism and a deep commitment to evidence-based practices. Laura has designed and implemented the first ever Music Therapy program at Parkville and Cherry Creek Youth Detention Centres. She is currently running the program and working on expanding the service as well. Laura is also currently running group Music Therapy sessions at Frontyard Youth Services (a crisis centre supporting young people experiencing homelessness).
Laura also has a broad range of other experiences, including:
Working in hospitals, community organisations, specialist schools and aged care residential homes
Chairing a panel discussion at the 2025 Music, Crime and Social Change Symposium at the Griffith University and the Queensland Conservatorium of Music
Completed a Masters of Music Therapy at The University of Melbourne
Presenting at 2022 Australian Music Therapy (AMTA) Conference in the Emerging Perspectives
Above all, Laura focuses on helping clients feel at ease and fostering a sense of belonging through music. She makes music therapy a fun journey to promote health and well-being.
